Reading cruised to a 4-0 victory over fellow strugglers Cambridge United in front of the largest crowd of the season to date.

Take a look at our ratings below.

Joel Pereira, 8: Stellar showing from the Portugal keeper on his home league debut. Making two crucial saves after half-time to preserve his clean sheet, his distribution improved and he had confidence oozing out of him with the ball at his feet.

Clinton Mola, 7: The full-back's best performance in a Reading shirt, coming a week on from his mistimed tackle awarding Wycombe Wanderers a last-minute winner. Constantly drifting inside to help join the midfield, Mola thrived in having the freedom to drive forward.

Amadou Mbengue, 6: Easy day at the office for the centre-halves, with Lyle Taylor looking disinterested up top for Cambridge throughout. Did his job and was the happiest man in RG2 celebrating with fans after the whistle blew.

Tyler Bindon, 6: Similar to Mbengue, he had little to do overall but did what he needed to do. Won his tackles and his headers to give the side a firm base to build from.

Jeriel Dorsett, 6: More reserved than Mola but still a strong showing having come back from injury. Another building block on route to a full 90.

Lewis Wing, 9: One of the best individual performances from a midfielder for the club in a long time, Wing had the game in the palm of his hand throughout. Stunning strike to score and another assist to his name. Nobody came close to him on the field.

Harvey Knibbs, 7: No goal against his former employer but his energy and tempo helped with the game. The U's were unable to cope with the rotation in Reading's midfield, and Knibbs was crucial to that.

Charlie Savage, 7: Similar to Knibbs, Savage didn't score but his impact can't be underplayed. Showing his footballing intelligence to know when to drop and when to press, the 20-year-old had a chance to showcase his development and he has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks.

Femi Azeez, 7: A quiet first half where it looked like he would cut a frustrating figure, but controlling the ball over his head before driving half the pitch and scoring lit the touch paper. Electric when confident.

Ben Elliott, 7: Probably the youngster's best showing in a Reading shirt, popping up in clever positions and dragging his marker all over the pitch. Needs minutes to play himself into some form.

Sam Smith, 7: Looked a man determined to score against his former club, and did so within 15 minutes. Had little other sights of goal, but held it well and brought others into play.

Substitutions

Paul Mukairu, 6: Played with freedom knowing the game was virtually won already. Loved nothing more than picking up the ball deep and driving into the box.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 7: Absolutely stunning goal to rack up his 10th of the season. Just what he needed after a spell without a goal.

Kelvin Abrefa, 6: More minutes in the tank for the youngster, having to just keep things ticking over with the game won.
