Reading striker Jahmari Clarke has joined National League Boreham Wood on loan until the end of January.

Still only 20, the striker has made 14 appearances for the club and famously came off the bench to bag a brace on debut to beat Birmingham City in 2021.

Not featuring for Reading in over 16 months, the Jamaica Under-20 international spent some time on loan last season with Forest Green Rovers and Woking.

Yet to appear under Ruben Selles, the forward has signed with Boreham Wood until January 28.

Manager Luke Garrard commented: “Really happy to get Jahmari done, he’s someone we have monitored and has been on our radar since his time in our League. He brings a good experience at a young age and will bolster us in the forward areas. He will go straight into the squad for Saturday and we are excited to have him on board.”

He is eligible to make his debut on Saturday at Bath City in the FA Trophy.

The Wood Army currently sit 18th in the National League.
