Reading are expecting a bumper crowd for the visit of Barnsley next month (December 9) after announcing their second Schools and Grassroots fixture of the season.

An exciting initiative brought in by the club over recent seasons, more than 20,000 additional tickets were sold to young children and their families for four fixtures last season.

According to EFL Rules and Regulations, clubs can only offer promotions or discounts for four fixtures per season- with the visit of the Tykes set to be the second after discounts were offered for last month's 0-0 draw with Burton Albion.

Tickets are £10 for adults and as little as £1 for those Under 12 in the Eamonn Dolan Stand or some parts of the Sir John Madejski Stand.

Last season, Reading won all three of these fixtures- against Huddersfield Town, Coventry City and Blackpool.

All three were among the highest crowds of the season, with over 17,000 at the 3-1 win over the Tangerines in February.
