MK Dons have requested additional tickets for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Reading.

A first meeting between the sides for over five years, it is the Royals' first FA Cup first-round tie since 2001 as Championship and Premier League sides do not enter until round three.

Opening the Sir John Madejski Stand and Club 1871, the tie is failing to capture the imagination of home supporters with ticket sales low at this stage.

Supporters have hit back at ticket prices, with adult tickets starting at £15.

MK Dons, who were only founded in 2004, have sold 559 tickets to date and have asked Reading for an increase.

Portsmouth sold almost 3,000 for Saturday's League One clash, with tickets available in the Upper West Stand for this season.

Reading have yet to confirm whether tickets will be available to buy on the day of the game for visiting supporters.
