Reading boss Ruben Selles has confirmed that teenage defender Tyler Bindon is back in contention to play against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday after serving his time out with concussion.

The USA youth regular burst onto the scene in a terrific display against Millwall in the Carabao Cup, going on to play a prominent role in the club's back-to-back wins and clean sheets against Stevenage and Cheltenham Town.

Suffering a concussion in training ahead of the Bank Holiday trip to Exeter City, Bindon missed three matches and was replaced by Harlee Dean.

"Tyler Bindon should be back after the concussion," Selles said of the teenager.

However, in disappointing news, the team will remain without key summer additions Sam Smith and Lewis Wing.

Smith, a product of the club's youth academy, returned over the summer but is yet to make his second debut.

Wing has featured three times in League One since his move from Wycombe Wanderers.

"He is close [Sam Smith] but will not be selected for this game. Lewis Wing is also close, but I don’t know if he is going to make this game.

"There have been a couple of complications, so we don’t know exactly when he [Ovie Ejaria]is going to be back."
