Reading will be without three impressive youngsters for tonight's Carabao Cup clash with Ipswich Town.

Facing a quick turnaround following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Exeter City, boss Ruben Selles has confirmed that plenty of changes will be made as the Tractor Boys come to town.

However, three that won't feature include Mamadi Camara, Tyler Bindon and Paul Mukairu.

The trio missed the trip to St James Park and will not have returned in time for tonight.

"He got a concussion in training yesterday, so he went to the hospital," Selles said of impressive centre-back Bindon. "He was away today, and he will be away for the cup game. We need to see for Cambridge."

Mukairu, who lasted less than 20 minutes against the Grecians, twisted his ankle.

"With the new pitches you have the new grass and the astroturf and he stepped outside with all his body weight and twisted his ankle so let’s see where he is and if he can play on Tuesday"

Camara, the 19-year-old midfielder, is 'going to be some weeks.'

He reported after the last game, so it has been a week with no training for him," Selles said. "Let’s see what it looks like in two to three weeks' time.

Reading are likely to come up against former winger Sone Aluko, who spent four years in Berkshire after a reported £7m move in 2017.
