Reading boss Ruben Selles has confirmed that new signings Charlie Savage and Lewis Wing are now eligible and will play against Peterborough United.
The pair arrived immediately before the club were plunged back into a transfer embargo for failing to pay HMRC.
This issue was sorted yesterday, and the club have since confirmed that both have been registered to make their debuts tomorrow.
Speaking to the media ahead of the season opener, Selles said: "It was about timings in the situation, with the embargo. The second embargo of the season came through and blocked part of the registration so that’s why it took so long. Now we are out of that situation, so we registered them first thing after the embargo was lifted and we’re ready to go.
"We fought hard for that- I also involved myself in solving those problems, everyone needs to help. We found the solution and paid. Players with the quality of Lewis and Charlie are always more than welcome. They’re going to be really good for us, they’re good boys with amazing characteristics to play for Reading now and in the future."
Wing is yet to feature for the club, but 20-year-old Savage has appeared in the last two pre-season friendlies.
