Amid Reading’s Ruby Red winning the national award for “Best Salon,” many of the town’s residents have taken to social media to congratulate the stylists.

As previously reported, the team walked away from this year’s Salon Awards with best salon team and best customer experience.

The team at Ruby Red had also previously been awarded “best salon” at the National Hair and Beauty Awards just two months prior in September.

Over one hundred people took to Facebook to show their appreciation for the award-winning salon. Many people also commented to share their congratulations towards the team.

One user wrote “Well done you are all amazing,” with another echoing the support through “Well done and congratulations always knew you were the best.”

Many agreed that Ruby Red’s success at the Salon Awards was well deserved, with multiple accounts reinstating how hard-earned the merits were.

Another user commented saying: “Congratulations, a fantastic achievement and so well deserved!”

One member has also reached out to Ruby Red asking if they may have a position for them as a stylist.

This person said “Amazing! Currently in Reading college and would love an opportunity to work with such amazing stylists.”

The team also walked away from the awards with the best colourist who was Ms Georgia Burgess.

“Well done Georgia Burgess and the team” one user commented.

The salon can be found just off Friar Street and will be situated in the middle of the new Station Hill development.

As previously reported, Co-owner of Ruby Red Mrs Jenny Lawton said “We are so proud of our team. We have worked so hard and are really pleased with the outcome.”

Mrs Jenny Lawton, 39, and Ms Jane Sneddon, 44, took over the salon in 2020 after having both been trainees there previously.

The team at Ruby Red is made up of nine stylists and four apprentices. They offer a range of different services with many team members specialising in one area.
