STUDENTS in Reading were celebrating GCSE results day on Thursday, August 24.

Proud headteachers across the town praised students for "incredible" results and overcoming a challenging few years.

Charlotte Badarello, headteacher at Theale Green School said: "I feel privileged to have been able to see them become young adults and the school community looks forward to welcoming many of them into our successful Sixth Form and supporting them on the next phase of their educational journey and achieve their full potential."

GCSE results have returned to ‘normal’ after the pandemic, the Department for Education has confirmed.
