A TIKTOK sensation is doing a series of gruelling challenges to raise money and donate one million meals to those who are in need.

Maxwell McCann, from Tadley, is documenting his efforts to his two million followers, who are voting for the challenges.

He is taking on challenges across Berkshire and Hampshire on his mission to donate one million meals to those in need.

Max's upcoming challenges include doing 1,000 bench presses of 20kg in 2 hours and cycling 150 miles in 24 hours.

The 28-year-old content creator said he named it the Mad Max challenge "because Mad Max is a nickname my dad gave me when I was young before he died, even though my mum hated it."

In a recent TikTok video, Max was completing 2000 push ups in 12 hours when "a lovely elderly couple stopped by for a chat".

The video caught the couple talking to Max about his challenge and has gained more than 2.5 million views so far.

Since starting the challenges last week, Max has raise more than £5500 already and will be donating thousands of meals to several local food banks.

Updating his Go Fund Me followers, Max said: "With your unwavering support and encouragement, I successfully completed the challenge, accomplishing an astonishing 1,000 bench press repetitions with a weight of 20kg in just 2 hours. (pushing a total of 20,000kg!! ).

"It was an arduous journey that pushed me to my limits, but your belief in me gave me the strength to persevere."
