Reading legend Phil Parkinson met King Charles III in a royal visit to Wrexham.
The former Prince of Wales was in the Welsh city as part of the celebrations of being awarded city status.
The National League club, currently a hot topic thanks to their owners, Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney, sit second in the fifth tier and are looking to regain Football League status for the first time since 2008.
Wrexham CEO Fleur Robinson and Executive Director Humphrey Ker introduced Their Majesties to co-chairmen, who showed the royal visitors around the Racecourse Ground and to staff and players from the first team.
Speaking on the trip, His Royal Highness said: "A little earlier today, I had the opportunity to see one of the other wonders of Wrexham, namely the football club, which is busy putting Wrexham on the map as never before."
The former 'Royal', in his first non-league job since making the step to management in 2003, played 361 times for the club from 1992 until 2003.
In this time, he saw the rise from third tier to the brink of the top, as well as the movement from Elm Park to the Madejski Stadium.
