Preston boss Ryan Lowe admitted that Reading have been 'hard done to' at times this season, and should be sitting on more points.

Paul Ince's Royals sit in 11th place, having previously topped the table, having failed to win after taking the lead in two of the last three matches.

A controversial penalty call denied them the chance to win at table-toppers Burnley, and they played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Luton Town on Tuesday.

The Lilywhites travel to Berkshire with three wins in their last five, rising up to eighth and just one point off the top six.

Speaking to the media ahead of the clash live on Sky Sports, the former Plymouth Argyle manager gave his verdict on Reading.

"They will feel like they should have more points than they have and they’ve been hard done to at times," he said. "They have some good individual players and we know it will be a tough encounter tomorrow night.”

Talking on ambition, the top six is the aim for the Lancashire outfit.

"We are in a good spot. We set some targets between the group for these four games before the break and we aren’t too far from reaching those at the moment which is pleasing, but we have two teams standing in our way between now and the break to try and stop us.”
