Reading are among a host of EFL clubs keeping tabs on Notts County forward Macauley Langstaff, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has hit 15 goals in 13 matches for the Magpies in the National League, hitting 32 the season before for Gateshead in the sixth tier.
Formed in 1862, the East Midlands outfit were the oldest professional team in the world until relegation to non-league in 2019, failing to get out of the fifth tier despite three straight top five finishes.

According to Football League World, Langstaff counts Millwall, Portsmouth, Blackpool and Reading as admirers, as well as Peterborough United and Barnsley.
Under contract until 2024, it is highly unlikely the Royals will be able to do anything until next summer- when the transfer embargo could potentially be lifted.
Riding high at the top of the league, the Meadow Lane outfit will surely be keen to keep the North-East native and return to the Football League.
