A SMALL house fire in Reading caused traffic problems this morning.
A property caught ablaze in Prospect Street, Caversham, shortly after 11am with witnesses reporting police cars and firefighters on the scene.
A spokesperson for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue, said: “We were called to a domestic property at 11.03am and mobilised pumps from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley wood.
“Firefighters used two breathing apparatus in the incident and one hose rail. The stop message was recorded at 11.16am.”
One Twitter user said: “Fire engine, ambulance and several police cars went over #Caversham bridge through the town centre. Is something up?”
Reading Buses tweeted at 11.29am telling members to expect lengthy delays to their Caversham service.
